Two dacoits killed in encounter, claims Lahore police





LAHORE: Lahore police have claimed killing of two dacoits in an encounter at Kahna, while eyewitnesses said that the villagers actually resisting dacoits, caught them and handed over to the police.

According to details, two robbers robbed two persons on board a car by setting up a checkpost, the persons who were robbed sought help from the nearby villagers and came back to the scene of incident, where the same two robbers were looting another car riders. On seeing the villagers, the robbers started firing, which was retaliated and the robbers took to their heels but meanwhile their motorcycle slipped and fell down and the villagers after capturing the robbers handed them over to the police.
On the other hand, police claimed that hearing the sound of firing, when they reached the scene of incident the robbers opened fire on police and in retaliatory firing both the robbers were killed on the spot. Four pistols, magazine and bullets besides the looted cellphones and cash were also recovered from them.
SHO police station Kahna Nasir Chatta claimed that the robbers were killed in encounter and refuted that the villagers had handed them over to police, while the villagers said the otherwise and demanded that fake encounter should be investigated
