NWA: Five killed in US drone attack

MIRANSHAH: At least five people were killed on Wednesday, in a US drone strike in North Waziristan. Sources say a drone fired two missiles at a compound in Mir Ali Tehsil area of North Waziristan as a result of which five people were killed and a fire broke out in the compound. Locals of the area have begun relief efforts, while sources said following the attack drones were still hovering around the area. Wednesday's strike was the third by unmanned US aircraft in the Miranshah area this month. On October 11, 18 insurgents, most reportedly Afghans, were killed in a drone strike in the nearby tribal region of Orakzai in the deadliest attack in more than a year.
