Armed forces at new level of relationship: COAS

RISALPUR: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaz Kayani said on Wednesday that new military requirements have increased the importance of collaboration between the Pakistan Army and the Air Force. COAS General Kayani was at PAF Academy Risalpur to attend the passing out parade of the 190th GD (P) Course and Engineering Course as chief gguest along with Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt. While addressing from the occasion, COAS Kayani said that the joint exercises of Pakistan Army and Air Force have a crucial role in the current security situation. He continued saying that the armed forces are enjoying a higher level of relationship that did not exist in the past. After reviewing the parade, the chief guest COAS Kayani awarded trophies and swords of honour among the graduates while a splendid air show was also presented by the PAF Sher Dil Squadron. The sword of honour for GD (P) course was awarded to Pilot Officer Talal Hussain while Chief of Air Staff trophy was presented to Pilot Officer Adnan Shamoon. In the engineering course, the sword of honour and Air Chief trophy were awarded to Bilal Habib.
