Shakhter Karaganda win Kazakhstan title |
ALMATY, Kazakhstan: Kazakhstan top flight side Shakhter Karaganda won their second consecutive domestic title after a confident 3-0 home win over Kaisar Kyzylorda at the weekend.
Shakhter collected 53 points from 25 matches to clinch an unassailable five-point lead ahead of the second-placed Irtysh Pavlodar with just one match remaining.
Irtysh are leading the race for second place, while FC Taraz and Tobol Kostanai, currently share third spot on 45 points, with the final match on October 28. (AFP)
