Rawalpindi: 3 alleged Afghan terrorists held with explosives



RAWALPINDI: Foiling a possible mega terrorist bid, police copped three alleged Afghan terrorists with loads of explosives from deep in the woods near a graveyard in Wah Cantt.

According to SHO of Wah Cantt police station Chaudhry Zulfiqar, three alleged terrorists were arrested from woods near a graveyard after receiving a tip off. After the identification process, it was revealed that the alleged terrorists were Afghan nationals. They were identified as Mujeebullah, Najeebullah and Mohibullah.

Detonators, remote controls, bomber’s vests, nuts, bolts, shrapnel, hand grenades and other bomb-making paraphernalia were recovered from the terrorists.

Police told the terror-mongers were hatching a plan to target sensitive installations in the twin cities.

Further investigation is underway from the culprits while they will be presented in the court for remand.

Sources told that two more suspected men escaped from the vicinity of graveyard at the time of raid. Police has kicked off the search to apprehend the escaped men, however, police did not confirm the news.
