Muhammad Akram Named Bowling Coach |
LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Mohammad Akram as the bowling coach of the national cricket team. Speaking to the media the head of the coach’s committee, Intikhab Alam said a one-year agreement had been signed with Akram. Rawalpindi born Akram played 9 tests and 23 One-day internationals for Pakistan between September 1995 and March 2001 and was generally regarded as one of Pakistan's fastest bowlers. He also took 17 test and 19 ODI wickets. In addition to his vast experience in domestic cricket, he has played a lot of county cricket for various counties including Essex, Northamptonshire, Sussex and Surrey, taking 415 wickets in 125 first-class matches. Mohammad Akram has been coaching in England for a while now. |
