SHC CJ Takes Suo Moto Notice Of Pillion Riding Arrests
KARACHI: The Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court took suo moto notice of hundreds of arrested youths in violation of pillion riding ban here, directing all magistrates to visit police stations and order their release.
Chief Justice Mushir Alam also ordered that no accused could spend a night in police custody. He directed magistrates to issue release orders on easy conditions, adding that accused be released on the basis of their CNIC if needed.
Police had arrested hundreds of youths as the Sindh government place a ban on pillion ridding in Karachi.
